Shattering chart records with unprecedented momentum, K-pop powerhouse Stray Kids has etched their name in music history by becoming the first artist ever to achieve seven consecutive No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 since the chart’s inception in 1956. Their latest album “Karma,” released on September 6, 2025, debuted at the top spot with 313,000 equivalent album units, including 296,000 traditional album sales, marking career-high figures for the group.

The historic streak began with “Oddinary” in 2022 and continued through “Maxident,” “Ate,” “Hop,” and other releases leading to “Karma.” This achievement surpasses previous record-holder BTS, who had six consecutive No. 1 albums, and positions Stray Kids ahead of other legendary groups like Linkin Park and Dave Matthews Band for the most No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 this century among groups.
“Karma” dominated across 16 different Billboard chart categories, spanning album sales, digital song sales, and streaming metrics. The group topped the Artist 100 chart for the sixth time, demonstrating their impact beyond album sales. The group’s successful promotional strategy included strategic pre-save campaigns that helped maximize first-week streams across platforms. What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that Stray Kids is the only act in Billboard 200 history to have every entry since debut reach No. 1.
Lead single “CEREMONY” debuted at No. 52 on the Hot 100, marking their fourth entry on this prestigious singles chart. Their unprecedented success is particularly remarkable in the competitive modern music landscape, as Stray Kids remains the only K-pop artist with a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 in 2025 thus far.
“Karma” posted the third-biggest week by album units nationally this year, further cementing their commercial power. The group has also secured multiple sync deals with their music being featured in major film and TV productions, creating an additional revenue stream. Beyond domestic success, Stray Kids secured impressive international positions, ranking 10th on the Billboard Global 200 and 8th on the Billboard Global (excluding U.S.) chart.
