IBC 2025: Krotos Challenges Post-Production Norms With Game-Changing AI for Audio Sync

ai revolutionizes audio sync

Krotos has disclosed an innovative AI-powered solution that promises to transform how audio professionals approach the tedious task of syncing sound to video. The company’s new “Video to Sound” platform, disclosed at IBC 2025, employs artificial intelligence to automatically generate and synchronize professional audio with video clips up to one minute in length and 100 MB in size, potentially saving hours of work for sound designers and content creators.

Krotos’ AI-powered “Video to Sound” platform automates audio synchronization, streamlining what has long been a time-consuming post-production bottleneck.

Unlike other AI audio tools emerging in the market, Krotos’ browser-based solution specifically avoids synthetic generative AI sounds, instead drawing exclusively from the company’s extensive library of professionally recorded audio in Krotos Studio Pro. The system analyzes uploaded video content to detect scene changes and generates appropriate ambient sounds for each scene, providing users with immediate results they can audition directly in their browser. The platform leverages the same technology that allows users to import and customize up to 4,000 sound effects in a single preset within their desktop application.

The platform outputs compatible stems for all major digital audio workstations and nonlinear editing software including Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Avid Media Composer. Users can download either complete stereo mixes or separated stems for detailed refinement in their preferred editing environment, maintaining full creative control over the final product. After early access concludes, the platform will be incorporated as part of Krotos Studio Pro and Max subscriptions during its beta phase.

“We’re targeting the foundational aspects of sound design that traditionally consume disproportionate amounts of time,” explained a Krotos representative during the IBC demonstration. The tool particularly benefits sound designers, filmmakers, game development teams, and content creators seeking to accelerate their post-production workflows without sacrificing quality. Independent artists can use this technology alongside streaming distribution strategies to enhance the production quality of their music videos and promotional content. This advancement enables creators to focus more on creative decisions rather than technical challenges, similar to how a well-designed home studio setup can streamline the music production process.

For enterprise-level productions, Krotos offers API integration options that allow studios and broadcasters to scale usage beyond individual projects. Early beta access is currently limited to 100 users, primarily professional post-production specialists who can provide valuable feedback before wider release.
