Grammy-nominated Christian artist Matthew West is set to make a triumphant return to the holiday music scene with his upcoming album, *Come Home For Christmas*, scheduled for release on October 10, 2025.
The collection features a blend of original compositions and beloved Christmas classics, including “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Joy to the World,” and “White Christmas,” all delivered with West’s signature storytelling approach that emphasizes faith and family connections.
Among the original tracks, “Dysfunctional Family Christmas” stands out as a humorous take on holiday gatherings, balancing the more reverent themes found in songs like “Because of Bethlehem.”
West brings holiday humor to the forefront with “Dysfunctional Family Christmas,” offering a lighthearted counterpoint to the album’s more spiritual moments.
The album will be accompanied by a companion book sharing the same title, available online before the holiday shopping season begins.
Following the album’s release, West will launch his 2025 Come Home For Christmas Tour on December 11, traveling to seven U.S. cities. The tour aims to create meaningful holiday experiences while sharing West’s holiday spirit with fans across the country.
Tickets go on sale September 12 at 10 a.m. local time through matthewwest.com, offering families an opportunity to experience West’s unique combination of live music and holiday storytelling.
The tour will commence after West’s fourth annual Come Home For Christmas Weekend in Franklin, Tennessee, beginning December 4.
This hometown celebration, described by West as having a “Hallmark-like” atmosphere, includes exclusive events such as meet and greets, a Christmas dinner, tree lighting ceremony, and worship mornings.
While Gold Passes have already sold out, Silver Pass options remain available for fans as of September 2025.
West, recognized as one of Christian music’s most accomplished artists with 38 No. 1 hits on Billboard Christian Airplay, signed with The Neal Agency earlier this year.
His recent activities include co-writing Jon Reddick’s hit “No Fear,” releasing the single “Growing Up & Growing Old,” and co-hosting the K-LOVE Fan Awards for the eighth time.
Through his holiday comeback, West continues his tradition of creating music that resonates beyond entertainment, inviting listeners to reflect on the deeper meanings of Christmas through both joyful celebration and spiritual connection.
The album also includes the playful track “Gobble Gobble (Kids Version)” that adds a family-friendly thanksgiving element to the Christmas-themed collection.
West plans to explore additional revenue streams by offering exclusive merchandise bundles during the tour, combining album sales with holiday-themed products for fans seeking tangible keepsakes.
West and his team have scheduled extensive pre-tour rehearsals to ensure each performance delivers a polished and engaging experience for concertgoers of all ages.
