Ten independent Dutch radio stations are joining forces for a marathon fundraising broadcast titled “Transmission For Palestine,” scheduled to air from 10 AM on Sunday, September 28 until 1 AM on Monday, September 29. The participating stations—Radio Radio, Echobox, Folder FM, Pip Radio, Future Intel, Operator, Maxi Radio, Radio Hinter, Open Source Radio, and Relate Radio—will simultaneously broadcast the 15-hour event, representing a unified voice from the Dutch independent music scene.

The continuous broadcast combines an online livestream with in-person activities at Radio Radio’s Amsterdam venue, creating multiple avenues for public participation. Programming will feature diverse music selections, interactive segments, and regular fundraising appeals throughout the day and night. Attendees at the physical location can enjoy live music performances while partaking in food and beverages available on-site. The event welcomes visitors with free admission on a donation basis, making it accessible to all who wish to support the cause.

Join us for 15 hours of music and community, both online and in-person at our Amsterdam venue, as we unite for Palestine.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Plant een Olijfboom, a Netherlands-based charity providing essential humanitarian aid including blankets, clothing, water, food, and medicine to Palestinians. The organizers have highlighted that public support through direct donations will make a significant difference for those in need. Beyond the immediate fundraising goals, organizers aim to raise awareness about the ongoing occupation and colonization of Palestinian land among Dutch citizens.

Community engagement is being encouraged through various activities, including a raffle offering prizes such as club tickets, gift cards, merchandise, and vinyl records. For participating musicians, this event provides an opportunity to expand their sync licensing potential while supporting a humanitarian cause. Donations can be made in person during the event, as well as online before and during the broadcast through activated donation links. Organizers have strategically utilized social media platforms as their primary marketing channel to maximize reach and engagement ahead of the event.

The fundraiser has gained significant traction across social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, and YouTube, with promotions emphasizing unity and solidarity through cultural expression. This effort follows other successful initiatives like the UK’s “Together For Palestine,” which raised €1.7 million.

The broadcast represents a meaningful merger of artistic expression and humanitarian effort, reinforcing independent media’s role in addressing social causes while amplifying underrepresented narratives.
