A landmark photography exhibition documenting the meteoric rise and enduring legacy of Britpop icons Oasis will open in Australia this October, coinciding with the band’s highly anticipated 2025 stadium tour. “Oasis: Seen By The Lens,” presented by Behind The Gallery, will showcase the work of renowned photographers Chris Floyd, Kevin Cummins, and Scarlet Page, offering fans an intimate visual journey through the band’s career from their early Mancunian days to global stardom.

The free exhibition will debut in Melbourne at 14 Langridge Street, Collingwood, running from October 29 to November 2, before relocating to Oxford Street, Paddington in Sydney from November 5 to 9. These carefully selected venues provide convenient access for both local enthusiasts and traveling fans attending the sold-out concerts.

Experience the visual journey of Oasis at two accessible locations, perfectly timed for concert attendees and devoted fans alike.

Visitors can expect to encounter a rich visual narrative spanning over two decades of Oasis history, including never-before-seen backstage portraits, candid moments, and electrifying live performances.

Chris Floyd’s iconic portraits from the “(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?” era capture both the band’s notorious swagger and unexpected vulnerability, while Kevin Cummins’ photographs document their evolution from Manchester clubs to international stages. The exhibition will feature a special VIP Opening Night in Melbourne on October 29, offering an exclusive first look at the collection before the general public.

Scarlet Page, daughter of Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, contributes images highlighting the warmth and authenticity behind Oasis’s brash public persona. Together, these photographers have created an extensive visual archive of a band whose cultural impact transcended music to define an era.

The exhibition’s timing strategically precedes Oasis’s Australian stadium performances, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the band’s history before experiencing them live. The exhibition will also feature QR codes linking to curated Spotify playlists that chronicle the band’s musical evolution alongside the visual journey. Attendees can learn about how Oasis and other artists receive compensation for their music through performance royalties collected by various rights organizations worldwide. Australian fans can look forward to seeing the Gallagher brothers perform with Ball Park Music as special guests during their five stadium shows across Melbourne and Sydney. Supported by Young Henrys brewery, the exhibition features extended evening hours to accommodate concert-goers.

Behind The Gallery has designed the exhibition as an immersive journey that chronicles Oasis’s transformation from local heroes to global icons. Through a combination of raw live photography and polished portraiture, visitors will experience the attitude, chaos, and cultural significance that made Oasis more than just a rock band – a genuine cultural phenomenon whose visual legacy remains as powerful as their musical one.
