The Los Angeles Philharmonic celebrated Gustavo Dudamel‘s remarkable 17-year tenure as Music & Artistic Director with an emotional farewell gala at Walt Disney Concert Hall on October 14, 2025. The gala exceeded fundraising expectations, generating over $5 million for the LA Phil and its Learning and Community Initiatives, particularly YOLA. Established by Dudamel, YOLA provides free instruments and music education to young people throughout Los Angeles, operating from multiple locations across the city. The maestro has also worked to create sync deals for orchestra performances, generating additional revenue streams that benefit the organization’s educational programs.
