Brock co-founded Spin Doctors Music Group in 2010, steering the company for 15 years alongside his daughter, Kristin Gonzales. Under his leadership, the company established itself as a prominent player in the country music promotion landscape, specializing in launching and supporting emerging artists through both its promotion services and independent label, SMG Records.

Throughout his extensive career, Brock worked in major markets including Nashville, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Providence, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Virginia Beach, Orlando, and Harrisburg. A radio legend spanning eight major markets, garnering industry honors including PD of the Year and Marconi nominations.

Though stepping back from daily executive duties, Brock will maintain a footprint in broadcasting through continued part-time on-air work at 955 WSM FM and contributions to Westwood One’s “Nash Icon” format. While unrelated to the popular rock band that achieved Triple Platinum status with their 1991 album Pocket Full of Kryptonite, Brock’s company has made its own significant impact in the music industry. He also plans to remain active with his internet Classic Hits station, rockinhitsradio.com, demonstrating his enduring passion for connecting with audiences.

A retirement celebration is scheduled for March 21, 2026, in Nashville, with details forthcoming. The announcement of his retirement was officially made on October 17, 2025. The event will mark the shift of one of radio’s most enduring figures from corporate leadership to a more selective broadcasting schedule.
