Country music star Brad Paisley and indie-folk band Dawes will headline “A Concert for Altadena,” a benefit event scheduled for January 7 at the Pasadena Civic Center to support victims of the devastating Eaton Fire.
The concert, which marks the one-year anniversary of the wildfire that ravaged the Altadena community, aims to raise funds for the Altadena Builds Back Foundation, an organization dedicated to rebuilding efforts in the area.
The impressive lineup features a stellar collection of musicians including Brandon Flowers of The Killers, legendary songwriter Jackson Browne, and artists Jenny Lewis, Aloe Blacc, and Stephen Stills.
Additional performances by Everclear, Ozomatli, and actress-singer Mandy Moore round out the event’s robust musical offerings, demonstrating widespread industry support for the cause.
For Dawes, the benefit holds particular significance as brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith experienced personal losses during the Eaton Fire.
Taylor lost his recording studio while Griffin’s home was destroyed, creating a powerful connection between the performers and the community they’re supporting. The Goldsmith brothers’ childhood family home also burned in the catastrophic blaze.
The band recently announced the concert through their social media platforms, generating immediate interest among fans and supporters.
The Eaton Fire, which began in early 2025, caused extensive damage throughout Altadena, leaving many residents displaced and structures destroyed.
Recovery efforts have been ongoing, with the Altadena Builds Back Foundation, operating under the Pasadena Community Foundation, playing a central role in coordinating assistance.
In addition to the concert, relief efforts include the “Gimme Shelter: Songs for LA Fire Relief” compilation, which features Dawes performing their reworked classic track “Time Spent in Los Angeles (for Altadena).”
This multi-pronged approach aims to maximize fundraising potential and community engagement during the rebuilding process.
Tickets for “A Concert for Altadena” are expected to go on sale soon, with all proceeds directed toward fire relief initiatives.
The event organizers hope to not only provide financial assistance but also to rally community spirit and raise awareness about the ongoing needs of wildfire victims as they rebuild their lives and community one year after the devastating event.
Organizers are leveraging social media advertising to maximize reach and ensure strong attendance for this important fundraising event.
For the musicians involved, the benefit concert represents another avenue to contribute to an important cause while also showcasing their commitment to sync deals and community support.
