Giants in the country music landscape, Chris Stapleton and Brooks & Dunn represent different eras of country excellence but share a common thread of authenticity and record-breaking success. The announcement of their joint headlining appearance at Two Step Inn 2026 has generated significant buzz among country music enthusiasts nationwide, bringing together artists with combined sales of over 40 million albums.
Chris Stapleton, an eleven-time Grammy Award winner and holder of an unprecedented eight CMA Male Vocalist of the Year awards, continues to redefine country music through his raw, blues-infused sound. Since his 2015 breakthrough with the multi-platinum album “Traveller,” Stapleton has maintained an impressive streak of critically acclaimed releases, including his recent album “Higher,” which spawned the 2025 Grammy-winning single “It Takes a Woman.” His three most celebrated albums – “Traveller,” “From A Room: Volume 1,” and “Starting Over” – have all won Grammy Awards for Best Country Album.
His powerful live performances, featuring his signature gravelly voice, have consistently sold out major venues from Madison Square Garden to Ball Arena Denver. The celebrated singer-songwriter is known for his extensive contributions to the industry, having co-written hits for artists like George Strait, Kenny Chesney, and Luke Bryan before launching his solo career.
Brooks & Dunn, the legendary duo who dominated country music throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, bring their extensive catalog of 20 number one hits to the festival stage. Their continued relevance in country music, particularly following their successful “Reboot” collaborations with contemporary artists, demonstrates their enduring influence on the genre. Both acts have built impressive music careers by defining their brand and consistently delivering authentic performances that resonate with fans across generations.
The Two Step Inn festival, scheduled for April 18-19, 2026, at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, will mark the first time these powerhouse acts have shared a festival billing. “Bringing together artists who represent the soul of country music across generations creates a once-in-a-lifetime experience for fans,” noted festival organizer Mark Sullivan in yesterday’s press release. Both headliners have mastered multiple income streams through their diverse revenue approaches, including merchandise sales, licensing deals, and strategic touring schedules.
Additional performers announced for the 2026 lineup include several artists who have collaborated with Stapleton, including Mike Campbell, who joined Stapleton on his “All-American Road Show” tour.
Tickets go on sale December 1, 2025, with early access available for previous festival attendees beginning November 15.
