Nearly two decades after its initial limited release, Daft Punk‘s “Human After All: Remixes” is finally receiving a worldwide vinyl pressing, marking a significant milestone for fans of the influential electronic duo.

The collection, which originally debuted exclusively in Japan on March 29, 2006, was limited to just 3,000 copies and included deluxe Daft Punk kubricks, making it one of the most elusive official releases in their catalog.

The forthcoming 2xLP gatefold edition, scheduled for release between November 21 and 28, 2025, celebrates the 20th anniversary of the original “Human After All” album and represents the first time this remix collection will be globally available outside Japan.

The original album itself was particularly produced in only six weeks, a stark contrast to the meticulous production timeline of their previous works like “Discovery.”

The remix compilation features contributions from an impressive roster of electronic music luminaries, including Justice, Soulwax, SebastiAn, Basement Jaxx, and The Juan Maclean, among others.

Daft Punk themselves contributed the “Maximum Overdrive Mix” of “Robot Rock,” which appears on Side C of the vinyl pressing.

These 15 tracks span multiple remixes of songs like “Robot Rock,” “Human After All,” and “Technologic,” each reimagined through extended, dancefloor-friendly versions.

Several remixes achieved cultural significance beyond the album, with SebastiAn’s remix of “Human After All” appearing in video games like “Tourist Trophy,” while others were incorporated into Daft Punk’s legendary “Alive 2007” live performances as mashups.

The absence of an official music video for the “Human After All” single ultimately led to the creation of Daft Punk’s feature film “Electroma.”

While a CD re-release appeared in Japan in June 2014 with additional remixes, and digital versions eventually became available internationally, vinyl enthusiasts have waited almost 20 years for physical access to these remixes. The release strategy showcases the importance of strategic timing when reintroducing classic material to maximize fan anticipation and cultural impact.

The 2025 release, with its gatefold design, promises to be a coveted addition for collectors and a long-awaited opportunity for global fans to experience this chapter of Daft Punk’s musical legacy. Fans who want to build engagement before the release can follow editorial playlists featuring the duo’s influential work across major streaming platforms. Fans looking to complete their collection can also purchase Super7 ReAction Figures featuring the duo as they appeared in the 2005 “Technologic” video. Currently priced at $39.98, the vinyl is available for pre-order with free shipping on all purchases.
