Multi-talented artist Navy Blue, the musical alias of Sage Elsesser, has announced his highly anticipated new album, “_The Sword & The Soaring_,” set for release on November 11, 2025, through Freedom Sounds label.

The forthcoming project will be preceded by the single “Orchards,” which is already available on streaming platforms. This release marks Navy Blue’s first major work since 2024’s “_Memoirs in Armour_,” continuing his exploration of protection, vulnerability, and spirituality through a new lens of natural imagery and transcendental introspection.

Navy Blue returns with natural imagery and transcendental introspection, building on themes of protection and vulnerability from his previous work.

Navy Blue, born January 31, 1997, has established himself beyond music as a visual artist and professional skateboarder, blending these disciplines throughout his creative output.

The album’s lead single, “Orchards,” produced by Child Actor, introduces listeners to what the artist describes as “a new chapter of creative clarity and ascension.” Accompanying the single, a music video directed by Maxi Hachem visualizes expansive natural landscapes that complement the track’s meditative soundscape and introspective lyrics.

The production on “_The Sword & The Soaring_” features luminous, ambient elements that expand upon Navy Blue’s experimental approach to hip-hop.

Track titles often derive from his producers’ original beat names, with “Orchards” and “Low Threshold” exemplifying this collaborative process. The album builds upon themes explored in previous works like “_Song of Sage: Post Panic!_” while signaling an artistic evolution toward broader creative horizons.

Following the album’s November release, Navy Blue will commence an international tour, including a headline show in Sydney on December 3, followed by appearances as a special guest on Loyle Carner’s Australia/New Zealand tour. The upcoming album follows his previous successful releases including his critically acclaimed tracks like “Dreams of a Distant Journey”.

Additional European and North American dates are scheduled for early 2026. Pre-orders for the album are currently available through the Freedom Sounds website and select retailers.

Industry observers have noted Navy Blue’s continued growth as both a recording artist and live performer, with this upcoming release potentially representing his most fully realized work to date, blending his multidisciplinary approach into a cohesive artistic statement. Navy Blue has been steadily building his audience connection through consistent content across social platforms that showcase both his musical and visual artistry.

The new album will contain 16 songs, including a highly anticipated collaboration with fellow experimental rapper Earl Sweatshirt.

Navy Blue has also diversified his revenue through sync licensing deals, with tracks from his previous albums appearing in independent films and television productions.
