Global pop sensation Katy Perry has been officially announced as the headlining act for the “Pop Day” at the 11th edition of Rock In Rio Lisbon, scheduled to take place on June 20, 2026, at the Palco Mundo Stage in Parque Tejo.
Katy Perry set to headline Rock In Rio Lisbon’s “Pop Day” in June 2026, bringing star power to the festival’s 11th edition.
The announcement comes as organizers reveal details for the four-day festival spanning two weekends in June—the 20th and 21st, followed by the 27th and 28th.
Perry, who previously performed in Lisbon in 2018, shared her excitement through a video message posted on the festival’s Instagram account. “I’m honored to return to the iconic Rock In Rio festival and connect with my amazing Portuguese fans,” she stated, highlighting her anticipation for what promises to be a memorable performance.
The “Pop Day” lineup features additional notable acts including Brazilian DJ Pedro Sampaio, Afro-pop duo Calema, and NAPA, offering a diverse musical experience on June 20. This programming marks a significant departure from the festival’s traditional rock-centric focus, with Perry’s star power anchoring the strategic genre expansion. Festival marketers have leveraged social media advertising to build anticipation and engage fans across platforms ahead of the 2026 event.
Ticketing options for the event include a standard day pass priced at €89, while those seeking enhanced comfort can opt for the Comfort Zone Ticket at €179, which provides access to exclusive viewing areas, premium restrooms, and specialized food and beverage options. Festival organizers have also introduced the exclusive Rock in Rio Premium Club package at €7,380 for groups of 10 seeking a private festival experience.
Weekend passes covering both June 20 and 21 are available for €157, though tickets for the second weekend have yet to be released. Festival promoters have announced plans to expand the site by 25 square kilometers for the 2026 edition to accommodate growing attendance.
The day following Perry’s performance, rock veterans Linkin Park will take the stage, creating a stark genre contrast that exemplifies the festival’s musical diversity.
Rock In Rio Lisbon 2026 promises significant improvements over previous editions, with expanded spaces and enhanced amenities throughout Parque Tejo.
Festival organizers emphasize that this edition aims to deliver a thorough entertainment experience, transforming every moment from arrival to departure into part of an immersive festival journey that extends beyond just the musical performances. Artists performing at the festival will have opportunities to maximize their reach through playlist pitching strategies similar to those used on streaming platforms.
