rush s 2026 tour expansion

Rush has considerably expanded its highly anticipated 2026 “Fifty Something” comeback tour, adding 17 additional cities across North America due to overwhelming fan demand.

The legendary rock band will now perform in Philadelphia, Boston, Montreal, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Edmonton, Seattle, Vancouver, Detroit, San Antonio, San Jose, Uncasville, Hollywood (FL), Tampa, Charlotte, Glendale, and Mexico City, with multiple shows scheduled in many locations.

The tour, which commemorates the legacy of Neil Peart, Rush‘s late drummer and lyricist who passed away in 2020, will begin on June 7, 2026, in Los Angeles and conclude on December 17, 2026, in Vancouver.

Co-founders Geddy Lee on bass, keys, and vocals and Alex Lifeson on guitar will be joined by drummer Anika Nilles, who previously worked with Jeff Beck, marking Rush’s first tour since Peart’s death.

Rush reunites with Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson welcoming drummer Anika Nilles for their first tour following Neil Peart’s passing.

Despite both founding members approaching their mid-70s, fans are enthusiastic as Lee and Lifeson are considered to be in remarkably good shape for their age.

Ticket sales will follow a structured release schedule, with artist presale registration open until October 23, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET.

The artist presale for newly added shows begins October 27, 2025, at 12 PM local time in the US and Canada, while Mexico’s presale starts October 29.

General public ticket sales launch on October 31, 2025, for US and Canadian shows, and October 30 for Mexico.

Special presale opportunities are available for Citi cardmembers in the US from October 24-26, 2025, while American Express cardmembers will have similar early access for Canadian performances.

The expanded schedule includes second shows in cities like Philadelphia, Detroit, Boston, Denver, Seattle, and Washington D.C., reflecting the band’s widespread popularity across North America.

The “Fifty Something” tour represents both a nostalgic return for longtime fans and a tribute to Peart’s immense contribution to Rush’s sound and lyrics.

The tour will feature concerts with two distinct sets drawn from a selection of 35 songs spanning Rush’s extensive catalog.

Many aspiring drummers have been inspired by Peart’s technical prowess and are using proper posture techniques emphasized in modern drumming education to learn his complex patterns.

The band plans to release live recordings from select performances on streaming platforms to engage with fans who cannot attend the shows in person.

Industry observers note that fan enthusiasm remains strong despite the band’s extended absence from touring, with many expressing particular interest in seeing how Nilles will interpret Peart’s complex drumming patterns within Rush’s catalog of progressive rock classics.
